In another clip, there is an army in a desert, they are on horseback and wearing quite rough clothing, but they all have identical weapons, a chinese broadsword, which were fairly commonly used.
However, the main character later on is wearing a ninja suit, and although she is good at martial arts which also suggests that she had the money to hire a good martial arts instructor. further on in the trailer they each have different weapons suited to their preference, other props are introduced such as bows and arrows, they also use strings and lines to enable the actors to do the stunts which defy physics.
sound: Firstly, we are introduced to a soft song and then a narration of the main character, and then talks about the plot briefly, along with dramatic music, which is quite tense and fast paced, since it s trying to keep along with the high impact and fast pace of the clips.
The narrator keeps the whole clip tense throughout whilst talking about the main plot and the characters quickly and briefly in order to notify the audience of what is happening and who each character is. At the end of the trailer the narrator tells the audience who some of the actors are, who must be quite popular in Chinese films and culture.
Most of the sound is diegetic, such as the music and the narration, there were a few sounds effects, such as a sword slice and horses stomping. all of the sound is synchronous to the trailer, where the narrations and tense music sticks to the clips.
editing: For editing there were several slow fades into the next shot, which is to emphasize the dramatic change in mood for the characters and for the trailer, the fades are also representing the fast paced and tense action film, in correlation with the character's actions, for example when a main character is about to blow out a candle it had a slow fade into the shot and a slow fade out of the shot, which is also emphasizing that something is about to happen.
camera composition: At the beginning of the trailer there are several panning shots which pan at different angles, for example the first shot it pans across a mountain view. this could have been used to show that a 'storm' is approaching. this is followed by several still shots which are a medium shot, then followed by a long still shot of the countryside.
A bit later on there is another shot of a man holding a sword horizontally, and the camera pans across the sword so it shows the audience the importance of that weapon to the story. Also, there is a mugshot/ a close p shot of two characters, it could also be called a over the shoulder shot because we have a view of a character from behind another characters' head.
When a man on horseback is running and hits another guy, the camera pans along with that character which is a good technique.
